Everything you need

Built for the mountain

From first chair to last run, Ski Tracker records every moment of your day on snow — automatically, accurately, and privately.

Live Tracking

Real-Time GPS at 1Hz

Position sampled every second through a Kalman filter that smooths GPS noise into accurate speed and distance. Your current stats — speed, vertical, distance, run count — stay live on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island throughout the session. No need to pull out your phone.

Resort Detection

1,600+ Resorts Worldwide

The moment you start tracking, your GPS coordinates are matched against a database of 1,636 ski resorts worldwide. The resort name, country, and linked resort group appear automatically. No manual selection, no searching through lists — just open the app and ski.

Run Detection

Automatic Activity Segmentation

An activity state machine fuses GPS speed, altitude changes, and motion sensor data to classify each segment of your day. Runs, lifts, and pauses are tagged automatically — no button presses. A post-processor cleans up edge cases like slow traverses and gondola rides.

Live Activity

Lock Screen & Dynamic Island

A persistent Live Activity displays current speed, run count, and vertical gain on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Stays visible the entire session. Tap to jump back into the app. Works alongside Apple Watch display.

Apple Watch

Stats on Your Wrist

Start, stop, and pause sessions from your wrist. The Watch shows live speed, vertical, and run count as you ski. Sessions are recorded as HealthKit workouts with accurate calorie and heart rate data. Includes a Watch face complication for quick access.

Battery Smart

Auto-Save When Battery Is Low

Background battery monitoring watches your iPhone's charge level. If it drops below a safe threshold, your session is automatically saved — no data lost to a dead phone at the end of a long day. Configurable threshold in settings.

Session Stats

Speed, Vertical & Distance

Every session displays top speed, average speed on runs (excluding lifts and pauses), total vertical drop, and total distance. Calculated from filtered GPS data. Full support for metric, imperial, or mixed units — set speed and elevation independently.

Speed, Vertical & Distance

Segment Breakdown

Individual Runs & Lifts

Tap into any session to see every run and lift ride individually — duration, distance, vertical drop, and peak speed for each segment. Segments are colour-coded by type and ordered chronologically.

G-Force Analysis

Turn & G-Force Data

The accelerometer captures lateral g-force throughout each run. A time-series chart shows turn intensity across the descent — see where you carved hardest and where you cruised. Available for every individual run segment.

Season History

Trip Grouping & Season Stats

Sessions are automatically grouped into trips by date and resort. The Season Passport card at the top of your history shows cumulative days on snow, total vertical, total distance, and season top speed. Monthly grouping below gives a timeline of your winter.

GPX Export

Share & Archive Your Tracks

Export any session as a standard GPX file. Open it in Strava, Komoot, Google Earth, or any GPS-compatible app. Includes full trackpoint data with timestamps, elevation, and speed. Available with Ski Logger Pro.

Designed with care

Privacy First

No Accounts, No Cloud

All session data lives on your device in a local database. There are no user accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics on your ski data. Nothing about your sessions is ever transmitted anywhere. Your days on the mountain are yours alone.

Color Themes

6 Beautiful Themes

Six hand-crafted colour palettes — Obsidian, Glacier, Slate, Charcoal, Graphite, and Deep Ocean. Each theme derives its full colour system from a single base hue, with adaptive light and dark mode variants. Additional themes available with Ski Logger Pro.

Adaptive Units

Metric, Imperial, or Mixed

Speed and distance can be set to metric or imperial independently from elevation and vertical drop. Useful if you think in km/h but want vertical in feet — or vice versa. Units apply everywhere: session stats, segments, Live Activity, and Apple Watch.

Season Passport

Your Season at a Glance

A persistent card at the top of your Runs tab tracking cumulative days, vertical, distance, and top speed for the season. Inspired by Flighty's boarding passes — a single glance at your entire winter. Updates automatically after each session.
